Community Impact Initiatives
We understand that our customers face real-life challenges such as illness, climate shocks, and changes in income that can affect their businesses and daily lives.
To support them, we go beyond lending. Fortune Credit offer simple, practical financial solutions supported by digital tools and partnerships to help protect and empower our clients. These partnerships allow us to offer added support like risk protection, timely alerts, and services that help customers stay stable during difficult times.

DRIVE (De-risking, Inclusion & Value Enhancement of Pastoral Economies)
Many pastoralist families lost their source of income during drought. Through the DRIVE program, Fortune Credit helped communities access drought insurance that cushioned them when harsh weather affected their livestock and livelihoods.
The program supported over 138,000 Kenyans, with more than KES 642 million paid out to affected communities.
This support helped families recover faster, continue providing for their households and avoid starting from zero after climate shocks.
ResilientGrowth (Crop Insurance via Blockchain)
Farmers work hard, but droughts and floods can destroy months of effort within days. ResilientGrowth was created to help smallholder farmers recover quickly when this happens.
By combining crop insurance with technology and satellite-based monitoring, the initiative helped farmers in Bungoma & TransNzoia receive support faster after climate-related losses. The program issued over 1,000 insurance policies and received a $100,000 grant from Circle to support its rollout.
The goal was simple: helping farmers protect their income, continue farming, and support their families despite climate challenges.
ResilientSoko (MSME Climate Insurance)
For many small traders, a few days of heavy rain can mean closed businesses, damaged stock, and reduced income.
ResilientSoko was developed to help micro-business owners in Marikiti (Nairobi) & Nyeri to recover faster during weather disruptions through climate-linked insurance support connected to MSME loans. The initiative, launching in 2025, received a $75,000 grant from Mercy Corps Ventures to support climate resilience for small businesses.
The aim is to help biashara owners stay financially stable even during difficult weather conditions.
Proactive Drought Relief
DIVA Donate focused on helping vulnerable communities before drought conditions became severe. Through early financial support, the platform helped pastoralist families prepare for drought earlier, reducing losses and helping households cope before the crisis worsened.
The initiative supported over 600 people, raised more than $46,000, reduced operational costs by 75%, and made payments 90% faster.
This meant faster help reaching families when they needed it most.
Rain Cash and Climate Warranty
Many of our customers are affected by floods and heavy rains, which can damage businesses and affect their ability to repay loans.
Through our partnership with ATRAM, the Rain Cash & Climate Warranty helps support clients during such extreme weather events by covering loan repayments when floods disrupt their businesses.
Customers also receive weather alerts and practical guidance through a mobile app and WhatsApp platform to help them prepare and respond better to climate risks.
