What is a Boda Boda Loan?
A Boda Boda Loan is a motorbike financing solution that helps riders, operators, and business owners purchase or refinance a motorcycle through affordable daily repayments.
Who is eligible?
To qualify, you must:
- Be a Kenyan citizen aged between 18 and 60 years
- Be stage-registered or have a stable source of income
- Have a valid A2 Driving Licence
- Provide two guarantors (Stage operators must have the stage chairman present)
- Meet Fortune Credit's credit assessment requirements

Application Process
How do I apply?
- Visit your nearest Fortune Credit branch.
- Choose the motorbike that best suits your needs and business.
- Submit the required documents for assessment and approval.
- Complete and sign the Fortune Credit loan agreement form.
- Visit the authorized dealer partner and collect your motorbike.
What documents are required?
- Original National ID
- KRA PIN Certificate
- 12 months of M-PESA statements
- Two passport-size photos
- Two guarantors with original National IDs
- Valid stamped A2 Driving Licence
Additional requirements:
Private riders
- Business permit/licence OR
Three months' payslips - One work colleague as a guarantor
Online riders
- Stamped Peleza report, AROPE certificate, or Certificate of Good Conduct

- Processing – 7,500
- Comprehensive insurance – 9,000
- Credit life – 2,300
- Tracking fee – 7,000
- Legal fee – 1,200
- Personal accident cover – 2,000
Disbursement & Repayment
How are the loans disbursed?
The loan is paid directly to the approved motorbike dealer or vendor.

12–18 months, with daily payments
How do I repay?
Repayments can be made via:
- Via M-PESA Paybill: 4075059
- Account Number: Your National ID Number

Yes, early repayment is encouraged.

Application Process
What is the first step in applying for electric bike financing?
The first step is pre-approval. A potential client must share a full 12-month M-Pesa statement for review. Once approved, the client can visit the office with the required documents.
What documents are required if the borrower is also the rider?
The client must provide:
- Original National ID or Passport
- Class A2 Driving License or A2 PDL
- KRA PIN
- Copy of a Guarantor’s ID
- Copy of Next of Kin ID
What documents are required if the borrower has a separate rider?
Borrower Requirements:
- Original National ID or Passport
- KRA PIN
- Copy of a Guarantor’s ID
- Copy of Next of Kin ID
Rider Requirements:
- Original National ID or Passport
- KRA PIN
- Class A2 Driving License or A2 PDL
- Copy of Next of Kin ID

- The rider is not considered a guarantor.
- The next of kin must be a family member.
